Longleat Safari and Adventure Park in Wiltshire, England, was opened in 1966 as the first drive-through safari park outside Africa. The park is situated in the grounds of Longleat House, an English stately home which is open to the public and is the home of the 7th Marquess of Bath.Over the Christmas period, Longleat put on show called the festival of light. The sculptures were beautifully hand made using wire, fabrics and lit up using lights which were placed at the heart and throughout all the art pieces.
Made up of over 3,000 laterns, Longleats biggest show to date. The theme this year was the art of storytelling. These are some of my favourite photos.
The show was amazing and like nothing I have ever seen before, the amount of time and effort that has gone into making this is extraordinary.
My favourite themed section was the under water themed section, with the jelly fish in the trees and the bright vivid colours. This was the entrance to the show and I felt like it was the stongest and most interesting display in my opinion.
I will be visiting next year to see what they come up with next.
