One of the biggest trends this year in print has been the animal print trend, a trend which has had a huge variety of different variations using a range of interesting types of animals prints and in courparting that most commonly into a repeating pattern trend.
There has been a change of the range of colours for each season, for example the darker red colour for autumn. The inspiration has obviously come from animals and using animals fur as art. Using real fur is massively on the decrease due to the large amount of people who are now admitting the cruelty involved just for the purpose of clothing.
In a more sustainable and cruelty free way the trend has made it possible to wear animals beautifully pattern fur.
Below is a photo from Vogue Autumn/Winter 2018. I really like how they have used the print neon colours on top of the repeating slightly shimmery dress with matching tights, bag and shoes.
Below is a range of different models from catwalks for spring and summer 2018. This particular summer and spring collections have shown more of the more natural animal print marks reincourpated into garments using other fabrics or patterns.
I really like the dress by Versace with the mix of angles and prints, I think the gold works really well incorupating the print under the mix of the gold motif patterns.
I think use of gold and yellows have developed from the popular trend of mustard which was a huge trend everywhere two years ago and that this is a more watered down variation.
